美國職棒術語轉成日常英文
自從王建民進入美國職棒大聯盟，棒球迷開始注意每一季節各球隊的戰績，球賽轉播中可以聽到各種專業術語。棒球是美國人最喜歡的運動之一，因此棒球運動中的術語，有很多被融入了日常的成語與俚語中。這一篇文章裡，我們介紹一些從棒球術語中，轉變成日常成語的的一些字、詞。
Ballpark ： 棒球場的意思。
Ballpark 指的是指大型的棒球場。 例如亞特蘭大勇士隊 (Atlanta Braves) 的主場 Turner Field 就是一個典型 Ballpark 。什麼是「棒球場數字」（ Ballpark Figures ）呢，就是當天到場觀賽的觀眾人數。因為開賽時到場觀眾人數並不能精確掌握，只能猜個大概，因此 Ballpark Figures 就變成「大概的數量」了。
